  2. The beauty that we give to the world comes from what is inside. And what is underneath!! I take daily delight in choosing which bra I will wear. When I am feeling especially joyful, I grab my very favorite bra. It makes me shine! Strangely enough, when I am feeling low, I grab the same bra. It helps me keep a smile handy. And smiles are contagious; we can all use more of them. Should I win this wonderful makeover, I promise to share my joy through my smiles of delight.

I must admit, however, that I save my very best smiles for my best friend, my wonderful husband. Not all of my lingerie can be worn under clothes very easily. And I assure you, that makes me shine in a very different way. And that I do not share with anyone but him!

  5. Hello!

    Here's my entry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN7eBrqug6E

Had to cut it a bit to get it under 2 minutes, so the ending is a bit abrupt!

Thanks for having this contest, it's been fun to enter!

  7. Hi! My name is Zina, I just moved to Seattle with my boyfriend and our dog. I am from Moscow, Russia and and have been living in America on and off for two years. I was lucky enough to hear about your contest and am excited to get in on it before it is too late! My main reason for entering the contest is that I have been wearing the same two bras for the last two years. They are comfortable (as far as I know about bras) but they certainly aren’t nice lingerie. Plus they are old. I also have a sports bra, but it just doesn’t excite my boyfriend like something from your store would! (He just made me add that, he likes to make fun of my limited selection of bras). So the point is, I really need some new lingerie and this is the perfect opportunity for me.

I have always been uncomfortable shopping for underwear because I have never been measured and wanted to avoid any uncomfortable situations. It’s always seemed very personal and awkward. However, after seeing your video about fitting, I realized that your employees truly know what they are talking about and I think that for the first time in my life I could be totally comfortable around them and their expertise. I really need to be properly fitted and become better acquainted with my body’s potential. Now that I am officially a woman, fending for myself in a foreign country and looking to start a career in the city, I need to step up my wardrobe and let my beauty shine to the fullest. I also want to be comfortable while doing it. I certainly can’t afford to buy such nice lingerie myself as I am still looking for a job and working on getting my life started here. If you choose me, you will help me a great deal, and I will forever appreciate it. I really look forward to hearing from you, thank you so much for your time and this wonderful opportunity. And sorry I couldn’t make a video, my computer doesn’t have a camera and I only heard of the contest last night, so had to get in!

  8. Hi there, my name is Frances- but I go by Maygan. I'll start with a little bit about myself. I'm 27 years old. In the past 5 years I have had three boys, and that's been quite the roller coaster ride for my body. We've decided that we're done with kids- and I've been attempting to embrace my body in it's current state. Part of that means getting out of my tshirt and jean habit and attempting to become more stylish, which is no easy feat in a house full of boys. I've been fairly successful with that so far, but the one area I've yet to get to is my underwear drawer. It's probably where I should have started because I know it's important to start with a good foundation and it would do wonders for my self esteem. Still, I went into this undertaking backwards by reasoning with myself that the outergarments would show the biggest improvement to the world.

Let me tell you a little bit about my underwear and what a disaster it is. I currently own 3 bras, all of which are different sizes. Two are plain white nursing bras that are falling apart after nearly 2.5 years of rotation. The other is a funky leopard print "sexy" bra that gapes open along the edges with straps that refuse to stay up. My undies are even worse. I currently own underwear in a wide range of sizes (xsmall- large). Everytime I feel like I've bought the right size, they fit too tightly or slip down. I'm not sure I have any idea how to pick the correct size of underwear or what size bra I need to be wearing. I could really use your help and appreciate the opportunity to enter your contest. Thank you!

  10. Hello lovely ladies of Bellefleur...

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shannon. I'm a singer, songwriter and blogger. I sing pretty songs, write pretty lyrics, and blog about pretty things every day. I have a pretty fiance... err, ruggedly handsome, who tells me I'm pretty on days when I'm not. I live in the prettiest of cities imaginable. But there is one thing in my life that doesn't match up with the rest of my world. My very un-pretty underpinnings.

I own many bras. But they're all unsightly and unbearably uncomfortable. Most likely because they never fit me in the first place. I have a problem of buying bras that are too big, to compensate for my modestly sized chest. The first thing I take off when I come home, before my shoes, before my coat, is my bra. I fling that thing as far away from me as possible so I don't have to look at it again for the rest of the evening.

I also own many pairs of undies. They're all from grade 6. Kidding. But it feels as though they are. They're the second thing I take off when I come home, before my shoes, before my coat. How is that possible?

Bellefleur, I am down on hands and knees. Braless. Please properly fit me so I can blissfully wear underwear in public. Please make the aforementioned man of my dreams the happiest groom alive on our honeymoon. Please help me sing pretty songs, write pretty lyrics, and blog about pretty things... all the while feeling pretty myself.

  11. I am a 55 year old woman, who's having a difficult time finding anything that fits me anymore! I raised my children alone. Three beautiful daughters who are all now married, two with grandchildren. It's time for Grandma to 'step out', 'a new beginning', and have some fun! Which I found requires a new wardrobe; both under and over, so this plan is going a bit slower then I had hoped for with my limited income.

I recently won an Orbitz trip to La Jolla, Calif. The Lodge at Torrey Pines! Very exciting! It's a beautiful place with hand carved furniture in every room, Spa Treatments, fine dining on the Torrey Pines Golf Course overlooking the Beach. I was so excited till I started reading all the details and thinking what I'd pack to take with me. My thrift store bargain clothes were great while raising my children, but am a bit embarrassed to be wearing them there. I have 2 bras that still fit somewhat comfortably, they're about 5 years old now. I recently won a $20 pair of panties and laughed.. who pays $20 for panties? Till I put them on and realized they were worth that and more! I know the Lingerie Make-Under Make-Over will make the difference! I'd love to win this and start my 'new beginning' in life with Bellefleur!

  13. Hi Bellefleur! My name is Celia Husmann and I am a 26 year old mother of two, and small business owner (Olympia Local Foods). I heard about the $500 Make-Over/Make-Under this morning, and it has been on my mind all day! Before I had my boys, lingerie shopping was fun. I had time for shopping, and spending money on myself was no difficult task.. ;)

Since then, I have gone up two sizes and my lingerie (if you can call it that) has taken a beating. My panties are plain, cotton, generic underwear...and yes...some have holes! For bras, I have two that are a "decent" fit. I wear them every day, both for work and play. A lingerie warddrobe would make me feel beautiful (and sexy) again!

  14. Hey Bellefleur!

My name is Leah and I am a senior at University of Washington studying history. I am a huge fan of your store and just lingerie in general. It makes me feel sexy, beautiful, confident, and powerful. Even when I'm just wearing jeans and a t-shirt, having hot lingerie under that casual outfit is like my own little secret. However, last year when my roommate and I visited your beautiful boutique you taught us that we were all wearing the wrong bra sizes. Then on top of that I started taking birth control this past summer and my boobs grew a bit more. I wore one of my favorite pieces of lingerie the other day, just because for some reason I thought it would magically fit....nope! The girls were falling out all over the place! Needless to say, all of the lingerie that I loved so much no longer fits me and as a graduating senior I can't afford to replenish my collection for a while.

I appreciate you having this contest! Even if you don't pick me as the winner. I would like to offer the idea of a trade. I am going into photojournalism and documentary film, but am also starting a photography business on the side (to actually make a little money since my field doesn't exactly pay the rent, but I love it.) I would love to come in and take some shots and create some layouts of anything you need. Maybe some new photos for the blog in exchange for a few pieces of lingerie? Obviously not $500 worth. Everything is negotiable and I am open to bounce ideas around with you.

My e-mail is leahclare0604@gmail.com. I am in the process of working on my website otherwise I would give you the link.

Thanks again for having this amazing contest!

Good luck to all the other wonderful ladies!

  17. Dear Bellefleur,

My name is Anne Rainbow Savage, I'm a 34-year-old architect. Reading Tim Gunn's Guide to Style educated me about the importance of wearing properly fitting foundations. The first time I was fitted properly for a bra (only 3 1/2 years ago!) it was an experience of enlightenment! I could not fathom what a difference a correctly-fitting bra could make until I actually wore one, and then--ta dah!!--I felt like Wonder Woman, ready to take on the world!!!

Unfortunately since moving to Seattle nearly 3 years ago I've struggled with unemployment as well as health problems (side effect: rapid weight gain.)
Everytime I've invested in a decent bra I've gained more weight and then the bra no longer fits. I have a whole drawer full of beautiful-but-maybe-someday-once-again bras. I finally have the weight gain in check (through lots of hard work and Bikram yoga!) but sadly only two properly-fitting bras. My husband calls them my "blue collar" bras. Please help me re-sexify my lingerie stash with lovely pieces that fit me as I am now!
